清华大学互联网司法研究院于2021年12月29日成立，最高人民法院党组书记、院长周强与时任清华大学党委书记陈旭共同为研究院揭牌。
成立清华大学互联网司法研究院，是深入贯彻习近平法治思想和习近平总书记考察清华大学时重要讲话精神的重要举措，是促进法治思维与科技理念交融、信息技术与司法工作融合的生动实践，意义重大而深远。研究院将发挥清华大学高精尖专业院系技术研发优势和法学学科优势，成为孵化涌现高水平成果、集聚培养高水平人才的重要平台，成为具有国际引领地位的互联网司法技术和理论创新策源地。

图灵奖获得者，中国科学院院士、美国科学院外籍院士热烈祝贺清华大学互联网司法研究院成立！研究院的成立，有力回应了推进国家治理体系和治理能力现代化的行动战略，也体现了清华计算机学科服务国家、行业重大需求的研究格局。清华大学在互联网司法研究领域已经积累了相当的研究基础，期待研究院未来在该领域取得更多创新成果，推动中国网络空间综合治理水平的进一步提升！

It is therefore important to study, design, implement and evaluate ways in which human decision-makers use the technology. I encourage the new Institute to bring together diverse stakeholders to develop best practices and mechanisms to improve these tools to the benefit of all.
